Ashil is a recent graduate from the University of Pennsylvania who majored in Neuroscience (BA, Honors) and is now pursuing a Master's in Bioengineering (MSE) at Penn. He is passionate about the brain, specifially, about memory disorders and has worked in multiple research labs conducting studies on short-term memory disorders and Alzheimer's. He is interested in pursuing a career in medicine and research in the future.
Dr. Lea Ann Matura is a nationally recognized nursing scientist and educator whose work focuses on improving the lives of older adults living with chronic illness. Her research emphasizes patient-centered care, symptom management, and health equity in aging populations. Dr. Matura is also interested in how Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality can help reduce isolation and loneliness in older adults who are homebound. She is a faculty member in the Department of Biobehavioral Health Sciences, School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.
